New! The National – Exile Vilify

People are freaking out about the release of Portal 2. A lot of people haven’t heard of it, but the first edition of the computer game was really successful. I know igotabroner is obsessed with it, but I’ve never played it myself. Regardless, I’ve got to be thankful it exists, because it prompted The National to put out another song. I don’t really get the vibe of Portal 2, but it’s hard to imagine this in a video game, unlike a movie, which the band just made another song, “Think You Can Wait,” for. “Exile Vilify” is somber and quite beautiful. I’m heading out to see Train now at Webster Hall. I don’t really know the band much (tickets were free, though) but I’ll possibly write a review for you guys.
